This is our third year with chickens, and they seemed to be fine, we get 19 eggs a day , the first hen just seemed to go to sleep she was 2 yrs, the rooster fell from the roost dead, the third was moving slow and stayed in the corner then fill over. Those two were not a year old yet. There was no blood or markes on them, these deaths were in a weeks time. We have not changed food. The other 28 seem to be doing fine, (but those three were until they fill over). Please can you help?

So sorry! That is scary. I'm sorry I can't help

Can you find a vet or an experienced poultry person to do a necropsy? This is an autopsy on the dead bird to look internally for signs of disease. It might help you figure it out and prevent more deaths.

Good luck.

For what it is worth, my Uncle has raised chickens most of his life. During our discussions over the years on chickens he has told me numerous times that "Chickens just fall over dead for no apparent reason" He thinks sometimes that they have a heart attack or something. Please don't think that it is anything that you are doing wrong.
