I have two hens about 14 months old and three pullets about 7 months of age and am getting about 4 and a half doz. eggs every two weeks. I think that is amazing.

+ 7 more eggs in my fridge....

that is amazing since it means that your hens are laying more than one egg per day.. most must be laying 2/day. I have nine hens and I get on average b/t 4.5-5 doz per week.

5 hens * 14 days would be 70 eggs in two weeks if they were each laying 1 egg a day. That is highly unusual, but possible. OP says they lay 54 eggs (4 1/2 doz. in two weeks) so they are laying very well.

duh... sorry thought you said in a week... that's why I was really amazed... yes, for two weeks that would be good numbers :) Had a house full of family for the weekend and obviously I wasn't awake when I read this...sorry
