Two questions

Let's start with the easy one. Is the comb supposed to be straight up in chicken?

Question 2. When you grab a chicken, and you place your hand on the sternum, is it normal if some tissue "is missing"? Is this evidence that the chicken is underweight, or unhealthy?

Q1: I believe it depends on the breed.
Q2: You will probably feel the keel bine, but it should not be extremely prominent.
Maybe someone with more knowledge will be along soon.
