Two roosters, one coop?

Yeah, I wasn’t sure how doable it would be to effectively have two flocks but allow them to run in the same fenced in area. They would have separate coops and enclosed runs but a fenced in and open ‘common’ area.
It wouldn't work. You could rotate so only one flock was out in the fenced yard at a time but if you put them all out there together the boys are going to fight.
You might also have trouble with the one rooster and two hens setup.

Any way I cut this I’m try to thread a rope through the eye of a needle. I know that the best thing to do is to get rid of one of the roosters, which we are attempting to do and which hasn’t come to pass yet. Barring a re-home I was thinking of the two coop plan I stated with an eye to having more hens(which I failed to mention). I know others will say to send the one rooster to freezer camp but I’m not going to do that.

I have 2 separate flocks, and a bachelor coop with 4 runs. 4th run will be used for my breeders....I alternate free range times or the boys will fight, during the winter I use solid wind break to block line of sight, summer I run a secondary fence roughly a foot out from the runs to stop fighting thru the run fence.

I wouldn't recommend it because everyone will tell you it won't work but I do breeding groups. Several with more then one rooster. I did have a group all last spring and summer that was 2 roosters and 4 hens.
One thing I've found is it's best to never separate the roosters once it's set up and working. At least during breeding season.
