Hi. I just got a new Rooster(Salmon Favorelle) last week, a very docile Roo, he is 7 months old and he was not the head rooster where he came from, now he is as he is the only one except for 10 week olds I have that were hatched by me that I will be finding homes for. I have the opportunity to pick up a 3 month old Polish rooster today to go with the 4 polish hens I have. He is absolutely stunning. I have never seen one that looks like him and I want him sooo bad to make babies.. lol. He is also very timid and docile. Do you think it would be safe for me to have the two together.? I have large barn they sleep, huge fenced area for them to roam and about 6 acres of pasture I’m about to open up to the bigger birds. They do all sleep in the barn right now, but they have endless amounts of room so they aren’t crammed in there or anything. I’ll attach pictures of both roos. Thank you!!

Since the Polish is so young, he MAY not be regarded as a threat, but I would have a 'Plan B' in mind in case the larger rooster does not accept him.

Ok. Yeah there was plenty of people that wanted him also, so if it doesn’t work out then I’m sure I will have no issues, but I’m also planning on building some breading pins, and I do have a whole other side if the barn that isn’t being used that can also be a temporary solution. Until the pins are done. My polish hens stick to themselves as it is. They sleep next to each other and spend the day together.
