I just wanted to share my recent experience with cooking a Heritage, farm raised, turkey for our Christmas celebration.
I was lucky enough to get a beautiful 12 pound bird from "Bargain" here on BYC. It was very well prepared and I was quite pleased!
After cooking and carving I discovered that the meat was very flavorful and succulent. I was major time impressed! I will never buy another store bought bird! Everyone raved about the turkey and wanted to know how I had prepared it.
