First, I threw it in for management of the water issue I had with this week's extreme downpours on ground hardened by semi-drought, but the flock *thinks* that two gorilla carts of aged wood chips is a treat to play with.
Second, on the first cool day of incipient fall, I made soup out of an excessive amount of leftover chicken and mixed all the scrap with some scratch for a chicken treat:
