1) What type of bird , age and weight. Buff Orpington, 2 years
2) What is the behavior, exactly. She is off balance and has trouble walking. Found her in the yard 4 days ago laying down, far away from her companion. Her appetite is decreased. Also, she is losing a lot of feathers. Not to the point that you can tell just by looking at her, but they're just everywhere, and they come out in your hands.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? 4 days.
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms? No.
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. No.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. I live in Phoenix, and last week we had some cold rain and winds. The have shelter, but two days after, I noticed her legs were sort of pink, and I worried it was because of the cold, but our other chicken looked normal. Also, it didn't seem to affect her. This was two days before I found her on the ground.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. Yogurt.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc. Runny, green and yellow.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? Have given her tetracycline diluted in water. Have to use a dropper, she is not drinking that I know of.
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? I would like to treat myself, but will seek treatment if I can find it.
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use. Right now, we have her in a kennel, covered in towels. There is a towel in the kennel we change every day.

Does anyone know what this could be? When she tries to move around, it looks like a baby that's learning to walk. She can't stay up, and she uses her wings to balance. At first, I thought it might be her feet, but they look normal now. Today, I have noticed that she is at least standing more than she has in the past few days. Also, she doesn't have as much of an appetite. She's not eating her crumbles, and only seems to be interested in yogurt. Even oatmeal which she normally loves, she'll only take one bite and then leave it. I have been soaking her in a warm bath once a day, and I have tried to feel for an egg, but I don't feel one. I found an egg of hers on the bottom of the coup under the nesting boxes with a few cracks in it, but not completely broken. Other than that, she appears healthy and clean. Please let me know if you have any advice for me, or you might know what is ailing her. It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I hope not! I don't know how she would have been exposed to the toxin. It is just her and one other chicken in our backyard. Also, today, she is standing up. Still wobbly, but I'm hoping this is a sign that she's on her way. Thanks for your reply!
