This is kind of random and weird but anybody heard of this before? Sounds pretty cool and the horses sound great. And of course the event it’s being held at (Cheyenne Frontier Days) sounds awesome too. And kind of sounds like a big deal? Mostly just curious if anyone’s heard of it cause it sounds kind of cool and fun and also curious on opinions on the horses themselves too if anybody has any or knows anything about these people. Thanks.

About the Frontier Days thing.

Can't help with the sale, but have been to Cheyenne Frontier Days - If you like authentic rodeo it's a great time. The Princess and I loved it and hopefully will someday be able to attend once again.

That’s awesome! It really does look like a lot of fun from what I’ve seen and does seem really authentic plus the town seems like a cute little town. I’d love to be able to go one day. A little too soon this year, starts tomorrow, but maybe next year! I definitely like all that sort of thing so I’d probably have fun. Seems like they have pretty good music too. But I find all the rodeo stuff fascinating and sometimes I even watch bull riding competitions on the TV :lau it’s weird but they’re fun to watch. And of course I love all the horse events. The fancy maneuvers some of them can do are so impressive. I think maybe I will plan ahead and try to attend next year. Or at least eventually. I’ve always wanted to go out west anyway, never been before, so maybe I could go to Yellowstone or something too while I’m out there and see some different stuff. I don’t even know if it’s even anywhere near Yellowstone or if that’s even possible but just an idea. But anyway, thanks for the info. It does seem like a neat event! I will definitely have to make a point to attend one year. There aren’t very many old, authentic rodeos anymore.

CFD is by far the best rodeo around short of the finals. The bucking stock is outstanding and all the best riders come. Very well run. Solid nonstop action. They have to tier country artist and usually throw in a few has been rock bands.
The trade show leaves much to be desired as does the food but I go for the rodeo.
Lists of stuff going on around Cheyenne during the week including an air show, historical events but the absolute best thing happens the week before when they drive the steers from a holding area N of town, down alongside I25 to the grounds.
The Twombys have been around for ever and used to do their big sales at the ranch. The fact that they have moved it to Cheyenne and Las Vegas speaks for the demand and quality. Surprised that they don't have a catalog posted. Going to cfd Thursday with a friend who raises QH about 30 miles from them so she'll know a ton about the operation.

Thank you so much!! This is all extremely helpful information!! It sounds amazing and I think I am definitely going to have to try to make it out next year!!

Oh and I think if you go on the website and click the page that says “the sale” it lists all the horses.

I think this is it.

And if you click “read more” on each one they have a more detailed description, more pictures, and a video for each one.

I’m from Wyoming. Love Cheyenne Frontier Days! The rodeo is great the concerts are super fun! However I haven’t been to any horse sales there so can’t speak to that part. But if you get a chance to go absolutely do it!:thumbsup

That's some good $$. Out of my price range.

Yeah, I didn’t realize it was so expensive. Figured maybe it’d be like a few thousand or maybe 10k at most or something but then I clicked on the “sale results” page for both Cheyenne and Vegas yesterday and WOW! Those are some pricey horses! :th definitely wayyyyy out of my price range too which is disappointing. :hit although there are a few that go for way way lower, like closer to my original thinking, that I might be able to afford one day, although of course those probably go fast and no guarantee they would actually go for that low. Although they do seem incredibly well trained and maybe worth it but idk, I’m sure you can find a well trained horse somewhere else. They’re surely not the only people with good horses. And no way can I justify spending that much in a horse. Ha that’s practically a house!! I probably could actually get a house and/or tons of acreage for those prices or at least pay for a significant part of a house haha and could probably have like 10 horses for those prices :lau
