Hello all,
I have my first aid kit and all but keep running into conflicting information on Tylan. Luckily I have a poultry vet near but he is one in a wide radius so can be a bit "hands off" at times. Anyway, I wanted the community's feedback and experiences with Tylan through different routes.
A myriad of questions here:
1. Tylan 50 vs 200.(Injectable) I keep reading info saying if you give Tylan 50 by mouth it runs risk of causing damage to throat lining. 200 they say should never be given orally. Anyone have any empirical data or experience even related to this?
2. Oral in water vs injectable. Any strong opinions either way regarding efficacy?
3. Where the heck do you inject a chicken!?!?? I've looked at countless photos and descriptions, I have Serama's and Japanese, they have no wing flap fat to inject into!
4. Lastly, intramuscularly or subQ? What have you all done?
Thanks for any infor provided!
