tylan or denagard?

On that linked page, which quotes manufacturer's site, it says:
"Also active against Brachyspira species, which cause Avian Intestinal Spirochaetosis, and shows in-vitro activity against a number of other key poultry pathogens"

That line must be summarizing all the other things listed on the page I copied from, which is one also specifically for poultry & on the manufacturer's website. http://www.tiamutin.com/vet-poultry/productinfo/en/45soluble.shtml

I came across it when looking for something that treats Klebsiella pneumoniae.

I just ordered some Denagard from the Feed store as my birds have had "colds" (sneezing) IYKWIM for several weeks now. They aren't getting better on their own and just started having clear nasal discharge too...wet sneezes are gross. Poor things! My question is does the Denagard in the water need to be their only water source for the duration of treatment, 3-5 days? I ask because they hate being in the run (which is more than big enough, it's just...dead) and much prefer to free-range the 1/2 acre, but I am willing to confine them mostly for the 3-5 days if that's what it takes to knock this infection out of their systems. Any info would be appreciated!
