Type of thermometer (regular probe meat type)

I'm getting all my things together for building my first incubator and my first attempt ever at incubating chicks. My DH and I were wondering if we could use a regular normal thermometer (the kind you stick into your meat) instead if buying the digital type thats posted on Miss Prissys site. I only ask because I already have it but if I need to purchase a better kind I will. Could ya'll give me you wonderful opinions on this.

The one you have is not accurate enough. Get a new one. It will save you a lot of heart breaks when the hacthing starts.
