i have bought this year 2 incubators so i could start hatching chicks earlier....seeing as none of my hens went broody last year until may/june.
so both incubators are filled...turned them on 2 days ago........go out in the fields today and you'll never guess what.......not one, not two...but three broodies!!!
2 pullets, both sitting on around 6 eggs each and one broody goose on 14 goose eggs.......i mean come on! are they trying to mess with my head???? grr!
so in 3 weeks time i should have about 100 chicks running about....ha ha ha my hubby is gonna kill me!
