I adopted my first 4 chickens 2 years ago when my in-laws were shutting farm. We had one barred-rock, an Isabrown and two brown leghorn chickens.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

Right now I have two laying Isa browns (or Rhode island Reds) and have just adopted two point-of-lay Australorp pullets
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Chook tractoring! Scraps! Eggs!

Gardening, Surfing

My partner and I have a big dopey border collie X maremma. We live on 6 acres that we rent on a steep slope with thick clay soils.
