Last year at this time I was tilling the garden beds and hatching chicks. Now my garden is almost a foot deep in snow. The average this time of year is supposed to be 55! The kids are losing summer vacation days now because of all the school closings.

I don't mind snow-it's really gorgeous out there- but this is ridiculous. I'm soooo ready for spring!

Here in southwest Virginia we got snow on the 17-18 of December that whipped out the power for nearly two weeks, longer in some areas around, and have never gotten to see the ground totally without snow yet. As I write this it has snowed around three-four inches last night and is still laying it to it. PLEASE STOP SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is snowing here again...well, it never really stopped all day..But it has gotten heavier. We are supposed to get 1 to 6 inches depending on the elevation. I'm hoping for a dusting, cause if my 6 year old daughter does not go to school again tomorrow, I am gonna go crazy!

I love her to death but she is a motor mouth...she will not shut up!!! I've even had her go to her room and I hear her in there with her dolls and she's talking FOR the dolls, in different voices. She's got a great sense of humor and so do I but I think after 3 1/2 weeks, we are getting on each other's nerves. She asked me tonight when "are you going to let me go back to school?" I looked at her and said "You think I am KEEPING you from school???" Her reply "Yep." Told her I would be more than happy to drive her to the school and let her stay there but there was no one there! Ended up driving to the school to SHOW her the school was closed!

I'm glad the snow is keeping you in a job. Some of the people around here that had been laid off from their jobs earlier last year are now earning money by shoveling snow or using a snowplow. I like people that aren't afraid to work!
