Out of a mulitple BOB hen and blue ribbon rooster you would think the feathers could look as nice as the overall bird..
Straggley isnt the word for her. I had always thought because BOs and lorps were soft feathered and when there is some inbreeeding the feathers can get real scraggley but they look fine once the baby feathers come off for the adult feathers come on. I upped the protein just a bit and the feathers that started coming in behind those started looking better. She doesnt preen herself as much either.wished she would .
BLUK,just wait till you see her, might make your look like a top model. But it gets better.
Ive had some scraggly ones in the past but this one is the worse, to make it worse she lays on one side, then the other and smashes up the wing feathers . Its like shes sunbathing under the brooder lamp. when shes done with that she jumps on her branch to sleep for a while.
