Ugly Feet

I have 4 five years old chickens, all of their feet are very "scaly". I know their feet are naturally scaly, but they look like the elephant man feet. Almost like layers and layers of skin. Is this common, or is there anything I can do? They can walk just fine, but they just look so gross.

Sounds like scaly leg mite. I believe it can be treated by rubbing oil on their legs.

It sure does sound like scaly leg mites. I have two silkies that have it off and on. I found that an every other day applicant of Bag Balm works well and in no time they will look healthy again. I know it has done my hands good as well. Good luck. Oh do a search and you will find pictures of it so you will know for sure.
