Okay, went to check on the two week old chicks I had gotten today. I had them in a cardboard box, with a feeder (the kind that is long and has the holes in the top) and a one quart waterer.
The waterer had completely emptied! And while I was figuring things out, they got a little freaked and one of them jumped right out of box!
Now I have switched them to a plastic tote, which is a little taller... I checked the waterer and it is working fine???
Maybe the drinking tray filled with shavings and it kept trying to fill???
Should I use something different for food and water?
Gotta run for now but please HELP!
