Ok, one of my chicks turns out is a roo and i live in the city limits where he is not allowed. I am not opposed to changing his name to "dinner" but will he be good eating? He is about 12 weeks old right now. When should I process him? The neighbors are going to start complaining any day now.

ship him to my farm ! Ill give him to my Barred Hen

He will never be "good eating" if "good eating" is the type of bird from the store. But, he will be much more flavorful. Do him in anywhere around 16 weeks and he should have enough meat to make a small meal. Don't forget to age him!

He's probably not going to be big enough to process yet. Rock's are dual purpose birds, but they take a while to get big. You could do it and have a bird big enough for a 1 person meal!
