I have a remarkably large, VERY dark egg that doesnt have a distinct "pointy" end. It took some work, but I _thought_ I'd figured out where the air sack was last week, so I've been orienting it that end up. I got a brighter flashlight today and took another look... I was wrong. The air sack is on the other side!!! Its been upside down for over a week! CRAP!
It looks like the dark mass (that I'm assuming is the developing chick) is on the end that was up (ie, the wrong side).
I've flipped it around, but- will chicks turn themselves in the egg if they're pointed the wrong way for the first 10 days???
