good evening and welcome to BYC. Sometimes SPF 50 isn't enough to protect from the sun.

A wide brimmed hat is what I consider another necessary plus I get sun protective long sleeve shirts from Lands End, and wear denim jeans all year round. Denim is dense enough that no sun rays get inside.
