I wasn't aware of that. Makes things simple if you're keeping quail.

I have a cinnamon? That's great.
I was hoping to breed more of that colour. What ever it was! It's a very pretty bird and has a relaxed gentle nature. Do you think I'd have a better chance of reproducing the colour if I breed it back to a Golden or a Pharaoh? Or wouldn't it matter?

As far a I read, cinnamon is gonosomal recessive... I would breed with Italian, better Machurian, ... with luck you get Gold-Cinnamon,... but I am also at the beginning of color crossing.

I crossed Roux-Dilute with Wildpattern (Pharaoh) and was expecting kinda Brown-Wildpattern (I guess they are called Egyptian in the US) as the Dilute factor (autosomal dominat) should remove the black and Roux is gonosomal recessive. I received Falb Fees ...

... I still cannot figure out why this happens. It's not logical for me. So much to learn!

Me too. I'd want them to lay golden eggs if was feeding them layers pellets at that price.
The turkey pellets I mentioned earlier are £13.35 for 20kg.

I also got away from Bio feed, kinda same expensive.
This works with 5, 6 birds.... not with 94
