ultra sonic animal repellent?

Ok so I am trying to keep my birds (chicken, ducks, guineas) off my porch. They have 5 acres to free range and they come and poop on the porch! Ugh
I have tried turning the hose on them. I just bought those ultrasonic animal repellers. They don't seem to mind them. Maybe I don't have them adjusted to the right frequency.
Anyone have any luck repelling predators or our sweet pests with these ultrasonic things? Any other tips besides fence (duh) to keep them off my porch?

I have had your same problem for the... past 15 years... We just hose off the porch every other day and try to dump treats and other things far far from the house... closer to THEIR house!
