Um.....what is up with this egg?

Went out to get the eggs. This is one of the eggs I got......amazingly strange.

What causes this? Let me tell you....it is HOT here in the Great State of Arkansas. Could that cause this?

Could it maybe have cracked while it was developing inside your hen? That may explain it...
