Umbilical cord?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but 5 of my 6 eggs hatched under my broodie and one of my americaunas was really lethargic and couldn't hold his head up. Got him to drink and he seems to be doing well after 1 whole day of life outside the shell.

This little guy has was looks like an umbilical cord hanging from his fuzzy little butt. (kinda see it in the pic) What is it and should I let it fall off or try to remove it?

I would say leave it alone . Hopefully someone who knows more can help you. Maybe try the raising chicks section?

It's the "umbilical cord" and possibly a first poopy. I see that sometimes on my newborns. Better to leave it, it'll come off by itself.
