I have a 5 month old white turkey. He has a real bad issue with balance. He falls over very easily and even one of the other turkeys bumping him will cause him to fall over, clear onto his side. He just lays there for a while then eventually get up but has a real hard time. He seems to be in a crouch position most of the time and lays down most of the day. He still eats good. I don't know what is wrong or how to help him. Does anyone have any ideas? Can they get hip dysplasia? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to hear that. I'm assuming this is a commercial Broad Breasted White. They are very prone to leg/hip problems. You can separate the turk from the others and keep it on clean, soft bedding. Some of the common issues with these `table' turkeys:

I noticed my bronze turkey hen this evening wobbling when she walks. Her tail is down. She sits down a lot. But isn't tilting over nor have I seen her fall yet. No eggs felt. Clear eyes. Crop feels normal. No one else is sickly. She'll be a year old end of February.
