Got 12 Cream Legbar hatching eggs from Omega Hills Farm. They were great, 10 made it to lockdown. Only 6 managed to hatch, but ALL 6 are male.

I was going to start a flock with this hatch, but now I have to get another batch. Also have to find something to do with the extra cockerels.

How can you be sure they are all males? Females have huge combs too with these leghorns!
Legbar are auto sex at hatch. Leghorn are not. You can sex over 95% at hatch based on color for Legbars.

Yeah, it's a coin toss on each egg. Sounds like the breeder you got them from has hens that sway towards males. Might want to try another breeder. Also, were you possibly a tiny bit hot in the incubator? A half degree warmer favors males to hatch with more ease than females. All eggs are already sexed when layed, but a half degree cooler allows females more ease of hatch and half a degree warmer leads to more ease of males hatching. Just a thought since you hatched exactly half of what you started with and all look male.

Here are 4 of them, the other 2 are still drying off in the hatcher.

That is highly possible, I will make sure that doesn’t happen again. Along with getting them from another breeder. Thank you for the information.

I’m sorry about your luck.
 When I started with poultry, I was against it. Now I see the wisdom. If you aren’t keeping any, snap their neck now. It’s so quick, and feeding them to give away for free is wasting your money.
I’m not going to write a novel, but for anyone horrified at the idea, please remember what hatcheries do to males. This really isn’t a mean thing.
