uncrack corn

can my ducks shell corn uncracked with out chocking
Are you talking about the whole kernel? then yes as long as they have plenty of fresh water to go with it. But corn is not a suitable diet by its self. it should only be about 10-20% of their diet.

Are you talking about unshelled corn? I would suspect the ducks would have trouble getting it off the cob.

Because the kernel of dry field corn is large and very hard, the ducks will get less nutrition out of it than they get from cracked corn, which is normally in quite small pieces and has more surface area for digestion to work on.

Whole corn (dry, off the cob field or dent corn) is best as a treat. If you've got a free source and want to feed a lot of it, the birds will get better use of it if you soak it first. If you feed a lot of corn, you will need to also provide a good high protein source and give them access to some greenery.

Also, with corn, watch that your ducks don;t get too fat.
