Unexpected Chicks

We had a naughty young hen find a very good hiding spot in the run, and now we have 8 unexpected chicks. Their father is cross between my icon rooster, Boy and a odd mixed hen (possible has some buff sussex, but we don't actually know). The mother is a cross between and light sussex rooster and either is same odd hen, or our old faverolle hen, Salmon.
So the chicks are quite a colourful collection and I can't wait to see what their adult colours will be. I'm very curious about the two brown (left) and lavender-ish (right, half behind it's siblings) chicks

Glad you joined us and I agree with cavemanrich who cares what they are, they are ADORABLY CUTE Thank you for sharing your pictures. SF have feathered feet & 5 toes, are any showing? Although I've had mixes leg feathering pop out when they're older.

There's nothing like watching a hen raise her young. Always entertaining and amazing.

Cute chickies! I wouldn't assume all of them are from the mother's eggs, though. Any hen who had access could have laid in the secret nest.
