Unexpected Pullets

They are so pretty! I went to get Black Australorp chicks, and brought home 2 Lavender Orpingtons for a similar reason. They weren't over crowded, it was just the two of them. They were older though, and it made me sad to see them in that cage instead of outside pecking around. So I brought them home. Chicken Math 1+2=5 or 10.
 
I have a 4 month old speckled sussex pullet with the same thing going on with the tailfeathers. She is as healthy, playful, and attentive as my 8 other hens.
