Unhappy Duck !

We're quite new to duck keeping so although well intentioned we do occasionally trip up!
We started a few months ago with 2 Cherry Valleys followed by 2 Khaki Campbell's - all girls and settled in really well.
We have room for another couple and love Mini Appleyards so off we went and got another 2 girlies.
Unfortunately the latest arrivals seemed nervous and took a while to settle also hadn't had their wings clipped so took off on a regular basis!... They nearly always came back but on odd occasions had to spend the night outside, as couldn't get them in.
The inevitable happened and we now only have the 1... her sister hasn't been around for about a week so think its permanent.
Unfortunately the one left seems absolutely bereft .. just about manages to socialise with the others but spends most of the time on her own...still really nervous - does eat - just looks so sad!
We're trying to find her a new friend - is this a good idea? - Any advice would be great !

She will be okay..It will take awhile but she will become part of the flock. Clip her wings...

If you do decide to get her a friend pen the 2 together so they will bond with each other before letting them out with the rest of the flock but where everyone can see each other.

And yes clip those wings to keep them safe.
