Interesting info on hatching guinea eggs.
I had 10 or so guinea eggs left over that didnt hatch the 1st. I had a hen hatching guinea eggs at the same time so I took the eggs out of the bator and put under the hen. She hatched a few more of her "own" guinea eggs and then quit setting. That left me with 8 eggs that didnt even pip. I candled one and it was "different" cracked it open and it was all yellow (ick).
So I put 9 guinea eggs under a hen setting on 10 chicken eggs. Each day, 2nd, 3rd & 4th she has had two new keets under her. Those guys were really late! I "steal" them and put them in the brooder with the others. She has 3 guinea eggs left...way to go Blondie...
I am not sure of the hatch date on the chicken eggs she has, i forgot to write it in my calendar. but it should be soon.
