Unidentified chick

Can anyone help me identify the breee of this chick? Also wondering if it’s a rooster. I thought it was a black copper maran when purchased. Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Looks like a cockerel to me...

Could be a Black Copper Marans, but would need full body shot to really tell. Does it have foot feathering on the outside of the leg down the outside toe? Grey-silver legs (sometimes feet at this age will have some yellow). It should have a copper colored eye. (Can't really see in photo).

At this apparent age, that is definitely a cockerel. If Marans, it would make sense as they telecast very early.

Thanks for the info. Yes there are feathers on the legs/feet. I’ll have to look closer at the eyes tomorrow.
