I bought this 1.5 year old female pheasant with a male when they were babies, but the male didn't make it long. To my knowledge, she has only laid eggs about two times, so I think I never gave her the proper environment for her to feel comfortable laying more eggs, even if they were unfertilized.
She became friends with some muscovy ducks but they are now gone also, to another re-home process. As a result, she is alone now and I do want to find a new home for her.
I don't know the species but she looks a little bit like this (not my picture, just an online image). I only know she is supposed to be some kind of bird of Chinese origin, but I've never been able to properly identify her.
If you are able to take her to be with other compatible fowl friends or even other pheasants, that would be a great help.
Please let me know!
I'm in the Dallas area but if you're willing to drive further to pick her up, that would be OK too. I know there are some great bird-loving people with nice property places living outside the immediate DFW area.
