So I thought I would post this, because its interesting. I didn't know this before...

Anyway... I was listening to a video on Kirsten Dunsten's youtube channel;

In the video, there's a part where a lady is talking about how they'd store dried fish and unleavened bread in the longhouse. And an interesting part of this is they say that unleavened bread STORES LONGER than yeast breads. I'm not sure why I didn't think about that before...

But that would be useful to know now where we're going into a period where we can't always count on utilities, stores, and markets to work the way they should. I hope someone finds this information useful.

With times being as they are, I wouldn't mind storing up on some unleavened bread right now. Anybody have any ideas how long it lasts? If it lasts at least 3 months I'll do it.

Also, any recipes? All I know is hardtack. I was hoping this was something a little more tasty?

Lembas lasts a long time as long as you don’t open the leaf wrapper and aren’t traveling with hobbits…sorry, my nerd is showing!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Many times I've wished for lembas!

My dad read me to Lord of the rings when I was 7 years old. It's probably my favorite book of all time, besides the brothers karamazov. As a teenager I was an EXTREME fanatic for LOTR, my poor younger siblings were terrified of reading the book because they said they were worried about my wrath if they didn't like it.

Then the movies came out, they finally read the books, and they liked it. So we never found out what would have happened if they hadn't 😅
