Have 13 Silkie eggs in. four out about 6 more pipped..7 BCM eggs in, only one pipped. All these eggs were in the same incubator, same temps, same humidity everything..Wonder why the BCM's are so much later than the silkies????

Did you candle them? Were they fertile and developing? The only thing I could come up with is that they are not fertile or maybe large fowl takes few extra hours. ( I mean afterall seramas hatch faster than regular bantams)

All developed when I put them in..They may just be running late??? I think my incubator was running a bit on the low side anyway because the last hatch out of it was good but about a day late..

Well Ive checked it with a thermocouple and another pretty accurate thermometer..Both ready right about 99.8°ish..Humidity just right..We now have 8 silkies out..One BCM is out that's it..Im bumfuzzled to be honest. Im a pretty exp'd incubator but this has me a bit perplexed..Who knows, maybe the silkies are just hatching a bit early..I sure hope so..Ill keep it updated.

Mine always hatch early. If they go to day 20 with no pips, I start to get worried. My other bantams don't go that early, but the Silkies always do. Weird!

You know we have had some brutally cold nights here this winter too..I know of several times my small bators' temp dropped to about 98.6° at night..
