This comes up now and then, i have 9 females, the other day i got 7 eggs, no biggie, next day i had 11, figure I must have missed a couple, next day 9, then 7 again. I asked my wife to check when she got home from work to see if they were going back in the house to lay midday , she said no eggs, today i have 10, i also found a soft shell egg remains in their pool when i cleaned it out. Is it possible they are retaining an egg now and then and popping 2 out at once? I have only had this happen since we brought our new Welsh Harlequins home. Hard for me to say who is laying what as they all use the same 3 nests.
