My chicks had normal looking poop when I first got them 5 days ago. In some of them it is starting to look unusual, I.e. it is runnier/more liquidy, and there is some orangisg coloration. I change their water a couple times a day, and they are eating IFA medicated chick starter mash. One of them is sneezing and making stuffed up sounds from her nose, but the rest of them aren't showing any symptoms like that, just funny poop. Should I give them somethibg else to eat besides starter mash? I would need to put a bowl of dirt or sand in there for them to get grit. They're all around a week old (most a couple days over a week). One of them had pasty butt and I cleaned it uplsy night. She Is clean today but her vent is bulging out now and I have no clue why. Help please!

My chicks have ACV "with the mother" in their water at all times. I'd get the sneezing chick away from the others asap. Have you checked the poop chart? http://chat.allotment.org/index.php?topic=17568.0. I've checked that chart so many times

What is ACV? I'm separating them when I get home. Thanks for the chart! My chicks are fine.

You're welcome! ACV is apple cider vinegar but for health reasons you'd want to see the stuff that says "with the mother" on the label. I get mine at Walmart. I kept seeing people talk about it when I first joined here and someone finally let me in on it lol I fill up a gallon milk jug with water and pour in about a tablespoon of ACV to keep next to my chicks brooder, they are constantly getting their water dirty so it's just easier that way. I haven't given them plain water since they were 2ish weeks old
