Is her tail up now? She should be laying by now or soon. Are you feeding layer feed with some crushed oyster shell available separately? I would keep an eye on the dog. It might try to dig in or get into your secured coop. Do the neighbors just let it run loose?

Yeah her tail is up and she's perky and curious and energetic like normal. She did lay her first egg just yesterday too. We try to watch the dog they have a fence but it doesn't go all the way to the tree line so he gets out sometimes
