Quack head
Songster
First, I want to thank all the responses I received about the "New Ducks and Owner" I posted.
The three Appleyards are doing great! They are still a little shy but I am starting slow, before I let them free range I created a 300 sq ft area outside their Quack House and with a small kitty pool. In the mornings they come out of the house without a problem or a panic, then enjoy the grass and bugs all day. In the evening I yell "Quack House" and guide them to their house without too much trouble. The first few days I had to put up a temp run directly to the door, now they just go in.
I was also concerned about them not eating, now when they go back into the house they head for the food bowl and mealworms I left in the water bowl.
Thanks once again for all your help and encouragement.
