Update on my Chukar.....PICS

Well I bought 7 Chukar a few weeks back at the auction. Since then I had 5 chukar hatch from eggs I got from Steelshot. All eggs but 2 developed....and managed to get 5 happy and healthy chicks...I can't complain! So this will be my chukar flock. Don't have a pic of the 5 younger birds...but here are the 7 older ones..enjoying their new digs from a growout cage I had them in to their permanent home.
Sorry pics are blurry but it is hard to get them to stand still lol.

I thought their pen was suppose to be bigger? That is about the size I have 2 males and 6 female quail in. My pen actually looks bigger. Am I ovrsizing my pens?

Ummm First off I think we are talking Chukar Partridge not quail. And the pen is 3ft by 8ft.

those chukar are pretty, and they look like they dont have too long til they are full feathered. not sure on the size of the cage, but it seems like it should work

Yeah that pen will work fine for 12. I have found chukars can be housed a little tighter than quail. I have heard folks say they are bad about pecking but I have never had that problem.
