Update on my quail

Well, Lock and Stock passed away 2 months apart. Now it's just Barrel. I seriously think it's their food that was making them sick, so I've cut Barrel's food with caged bird Egg food to see if that helps. So far it's been a week and Barrel seems to be okay. She's terribly lonely, though. The cockatiels seem to be helping, though. I have her in with the tiels as company and they get along just fine. Just at night if I'm at the computer she lets out her 'am I all alone?' call. I'm moving in a few months, so I can't get another quail. Maybe once my two elderly parrots pass I'll consider another coturnix

I agree, you may find it easier to keep 2, they will be quieter than one who is alone.

I'll see what my circumstances are when I finally move in June or July. I don't want her to be alone.
