Well, it's a month and a course of antibiotics later, and my poor hen is still about the same. She's eating well and can get up and walk when she sees something she wants, but otherwise, her legs seem weak and most of the time she's sitting around the yard with her eyes closed, sleeping. Every day I give her a bowl of oatmeal with Poly-Vi-Sol vitamins in it plus a crushed Tums, so I don't know what else I can do for her nutritionally. I do see her pecking around the yard, only she's doing it sitting down. Any other suggestions? I hate to see her like this. The problem really seems isolated to her legs, although there's no swelling or obvious injury.
