**UPDATE-RUN/INTERIOR PICS added**COOP is 95% done!! RUN next project

Thought I'd start posting pics of our Chicken Mansion! Friends were more than generous and kind with their time in helping to build the coop.
I'll post interior pics (still working on some finishing touches) another time.

It is 12' x 10' and is next to our house, OUTSIDE of the dog fenced yard.

The idea was that since it was right next to the house, it had to look decent and be convertable back to a workshop shed or something down the road. To me...that means I can add more chickens, since I only have 10 chicks in the brooder inside now!!!

The inside, I primed and painted with Kilz Original2 and Kilz semi-gloss paint (cashmere white to be specific!) and have only just finished putting up one roost along the wall without a window. Not much else has been done inside except putting hardware cloth outside windows, and inside where the louvers are. We do have an outlet in there with a light!!

We are going to stain the outside to match our house better. Also, trying to figure out the best run for it...after thinking of all the materials, we should probably go with wood vs. nice t-posts.
