UPDATE "Sick" emu may have broken toe!

We think that EmDee has a broken toe on her left foot (the lateral, or outside, toe). I guess that would explain the stagger. The Q now is: what do we do? Is there some way to splint it that someone's had success with?

you could probly make a splint like some people do for chicken chicks with curved toes. for stability you could put a little cardboard under the foot too. I dont think theres a right or wrong way to splint an chicks toes, just work with what you have and hope for the best. you might want to consider an antibiotic as well just to be safe.
