UPDATE!: Take a guess at my silkie's gender! *MORE CHICKS*

He/she is 9 weeks old, and the largest of my three. He/she is bearded and has only the slightest hint of wattles, and no red whatsoever in the comb. Also, what color is this silkie? Blue? Splash? I have no idea. Right now it is a combo of black and dark grey. I got him/her and two siblings from a breeder locally. Mom was black; no idea what color dad was!

So I go to drive the kids to the bus stop this morning (it's pouring), and I hear the worst most strangled noise I have ever heard coming from the brooder...thinking that one of the silkie chicks is injured or sick, I fling open the brooder lid and see Yoda, the blue silkie, crowing!! He did it a bunch of times. Guess that settles it!

I have one 28 weeks old...still don't know what it is...no crowing, no eggs...

crowing already at 9 weeks...makes me think mine is a pullet then...!
