I love the "air conditioner" idea. Will keep an eye on her. I did get my egg for the day. If it isn't better tomorrow then I will post some pics of the comb. Sorry you get the hot weather now.

It's been the coldest July ever here in Iowa.. 70's during the day and down to the 50's at night.. It's been great for chicken raising..

We live in Californias San fernando valley gets very hot here we have 15 chickens and this year put in a misting system when iit gets to 90 degrees here if becomes very hot for the chickens.Even with the coop in the shade They love the mist going on them Our coops are partly open made with poulty wire in the front and are predator proof.the misting is on the top and blown in on them cools at least 10 to 20 degrees depending on how high we set it.

Hi all....
Thanks for all your comments and help.
Just a little update. The heat wave here is finally over!

I think my Henryetta is going to be just fine. The color is coming back in her comb and yesterday when free ranging she was having a ball with all the other girls. Her eyes look better and she doesn't look like she has heat stroke anymore. I still might worm her if that is something I should do. Yesterday she didn't give me an egg the first time she has ever missed a day but maybe all the heat had caught up with her.

Thanks again and I will enjoy our cloudy day today! Today will be a high of 80 and will drop to the upper 70's as the week goes on. Better then the 90's I gotta say!
