Our 4 chicks are just about 3 months old and ever since they've been in the big coop they roosted on the far RIGHT side near the window. We had their heat lamp hanging on that side.....also a 5 gallon bucket for water was in that same corner, empty until we decided to give the nipples a try.( they have two other waterers)
Two days ago we put water in the bucket to see if they would get used to the nipple waterers. We decided to move the bucket to the other side of the coop in the corner as to give the girls more room where they roost each night. I also finally took down the heat lamp. So now their side of the coop where they roost was nice and roomy.
Last night I went out to find them all now roosting on the LEFT side!
Totally not a big deal but thought I would ask if anyone knew WHY they would do this. I feel bad that I upset the balance of the coop. They obviously liked having that 5 gallon bucket behind them while they slept. ??
