I Just wanted to say hi to the community and to say Thanks!
A few weeks ago I was visiting my uncles and he has 2 hens, I thought to myself at the time that it would be cool to own a few chickens.
I myself have no property in which to raise chickens but my sister has a 5 acre parcel in Greene County NY, so I set to convincing her.
Well it worked! and Thanks to the information/suggestions on this site we are well under way!
I looked on craigslist and made a few calls and collected some 60ish wood pallets, after this past weekend we now have an ~8x8 structure that will be used as our coop.
Hopefully we'll be able to house a decent number of hens!
I have been taking a bunch of pictures and will post our coop once it is built.
I can't wait!
