Hi all!
Pretty new to the chicken world but I live in an urban setting around a highway so my predators haven’t been terrible in the past. We have a new insulated 6ft fence & we have filled every crevice & gap, of course they have a very secure run & coop. For about 8 months now they’ve been free ranging with no issues, but lately we have seen an uptick of sky & land predators noticing our girls more & we’ve had 2 attacks (during the day- thankfully all are ok). I’m at a loss of what to do… illegally have a rooster with a crowing collar, do a super expensive tunnel system, have a blow up dancing car wash guy (but then what about land preds) etc feel like my only good options.. keeping them in their run too of course but would rather them have their freedom. Any thoughts y’all?! Really need some wisdom, I don’t want to lose my girls because of my inexperience, thank you much!!
